It’s Great Out There Ambassadors Programme
Terms and Conditions
By submitting an application, the applicant confirms to understand and to be bound by these terms and conditions.
Applicants must be at least 18 years old and have their residence within geographical Europe (United Kingdom included).
Employees of the It’s Great Out There Coalition, the European Outdoor Group or the European Outdoor Conservation Association and their close relatives are not eligible.
The It’s Great Out There Coalition reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions at any stage in any way as well as the right to cancel the Ambassador programme at any stage if in our opinion it is deemed necessary to do so, or if circumstances arise outside of our control.
All communications in relation to the programme as well as the agreement will be drafted in English.
These terms and conditions shall be governed by Belgian law and Belgian courts shall have jurisdiction.
Only complete applications received during the application period submitted via the It’s Great Out There website (https://www.itsgreatoutthere.com/ambassadors/ambassadors-application/) will be considered.
Applications can be submitted from 6 March 2020. The deadline for applications to be submitted is 23:59 on Monday 23 March 2020 and can be prolonged if this is deemed necessary by the programme management.
Any incomplete applications will not be accepted. It’s Great Out There takes no responsibility for any technical failure or malfunction or other problem which may result in lost, incomplete, late or misdirected entries.
Applications that relate to, or contain, illegal, unethical or offensive conduct or content, infringe third party intellectual property rights, or otherwise fail to comply with these terms and conditions will not be considered. This will be determined by the programme management, in its sole discretion.
Completed applications received will be carefully reviewed by the programme management who will shortlist based on the following criteria:
– Ability to inspire or motivate others
– Commitment to their active outdoor lifestyle
– Ability to communicate It’s Great Out There campaign messages to a wider audience
Shortlisted applicants will be interviewed over the phone in view of selection a maximum total of 30 It’s Great Out There Ambassadors. The final selection will take place at the beginning of April 2020.
The selected Ambassadors will be notified by email. After confirmation by the Ambassadors, they will be featured on www.itsgreatoutthere.com, with their name, country of origin, photo and contact details.
The selection is final and non-transferable. It’s Great Out There will not enter into any correspondence or provide additional feedback in case of unsuccessful application.
Selected Ambassadors will be asked to enter into a separate written agreement with the It’s Great Out There Coalition that will set out terms and conditions for the It’s Great Out There Ambassador role.
Replacement of an ambassador by the programme management is possible when a selected ambassador:
does not respond to his/her nomination after reasonable attempts have been made to contact them,
– refuses to sign the ambassador agreement,
– withdraws from the selection process or drops out,
– does not respect the ambassador agreement.
Upon selection, the Ambassadors will each receive a rewards package. The rewards are non-transferable. No cash alternative is offered to the rewards and there are no alternative rewards. The It’s Great Out There Coalition reserves the right to designate an alternative reward without giving any reasons.
During the programme, additional rewards will be provided to Ambassadors on basis of their active participation in monthly challenges; The rewards will be communicated together with the objectives of the challenge each month.
The role of ambassadors is to inspire, encourage and motivate others to get active outdoors through ambassador organised activities and through marketing and promotional activities to promote the It’s Great Out There campaign in line with the provisions set out in the ambassador agreement.
Ambassadors are selected for a period of two consecutive years, running from March 2020 until December 2021.
Other engagements may affect the eligibility of Ambassadors. Applicants must declare on the application form if there are any circumstances including existing commercial arrangements or sponsorships that It’s Great Out There should be aware of, that could give rise to a conflict of interest and / or adversely impact the good will and / or reputation of the Coalition.
The It’s Great Out There Coalition does not impact on the ambassador decision whether or not to engage in a specific activity and disclaims all liability for any loss or damage to persons or property, (whether direct or indirect) incurred by any person in connection with submission of an application to the maximum extent permitted by law.
